At Learning to Thrive, we provide tailored pathways that combine volunteer opportunities, educational programs, and customized training. Our innovative Tailored Day Services are designed to meet the specific needs and aspirations of each individual, ensuring they gain the skills and confidence necessary to thrive in the workforce. We understand that the path to employment is not one-size-fits-all. That's why we work closely with each participant to develop a personalized plan that aligns with their interests and goals. Co-Founder
My journey in the field of serving individuals with disabilities started when I was 16 years old. I knew right away that this was something I was and wanted to do forever. My 21 years of service includes, behavioral, day programs, care homes, Special Olympics coaching, IHSS and respite provider and everything in between.
Before we opened Learning to Thrive I was at an agency for over 18 years. My passion is to help people be as independent as they can be and to live their lives with happiness and purpose. That looks different to everyone and that is where Learning to Thrive is different; we want to focus on each person individually instead of everyone as a whole. I
am excited to continue to live my dream and serve our individuals and community.

Max Woodford
Co-Founder
As the co-owner of Learning to Thrive, I bring over 12 years of executive leadership experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. My passion lies in supporting individuals to live lives that are truly person-centered, focusing on their unique goals, needs, and desires.
Throughout my career, I’ve been committed to fostering an environment of respect, empowerment, and inclusivity. I firmly believe that every person has the right to live a life of dignity, independence, and fulfillment, and I am driven by the opportunity to help make that a reality for the individuals we support at Learning to Thrive.
I am proud to be part of a team that is dedicated to transforming lives and providing the tools and resources needed for individuals to thrive in every aspect of their journey.

My journey is fueled with a profound passion for empowering people with the tools and resources to thrive. I have dedicated over two decades to fostering independence and self-sufficiency to others in need. My extensive experience as a life coach, advocate, and regenerative farming coach and trainer has equipped me with a unique and versatile skill set.
As a job coach, working with adults with intellectual challenges, I have been blessed to witness the value that my past experience has played in providing me with the tools necessary to enrich lives and make huge impacts.
Being the Program Director for Learning to Thrive provides me with the pleasure of being able to continue cultivating a client-centered approach, all while effectively building and leading cohesive teams. I am committed to providing individuals with the necessary tools to thrive and live life on their own terms. My opportunity to work with our clients has had a significant, positive impact on my life as well as the countless lives of the people I have had the pleasure of serving.

Our mission statement is to guide those we serve towards the right path just for them. That can be by establishing a custom employment plan based on your interests’ skills and comfort level in working with others. As a team, we will work with you to achieve your specific goals. If continuing education is a goal for you, we will partner with you to help you on the right path. In addition, we can offer a wide array of life skills and supports to allow you to lead your life independently. Our holistic approach helps us help you to find your strengths and build upon them. There is a solution for everything and that is our combined goal. Learning to Thrive is your pathway to the future as an independent adult towards finding your strengths and building on them. Our partnerships will cultivate employment solutions, volunteer opportunities, life skills and educational counseling. A custom employment plan based on your interests, your skills and your comfort level can help you find the right position. If higher education is a goal, we can assist you in the right direction. This specialized program focuses on reducing obstacles that may stand in your way. We can help you improve the quality of your life.
